Star Model B (.08) for German Army Service
These pistols were manufactured in Spain between 1942 and 1944 to be supplied to the Germans.
They were generally issued to low priority organizations like police or “certain military units”.
Stars issued to WWII German troops do not carry Nazi proofmarks, the only foreign arms exempted from this requirement.
After World War II, these pistols were captured by the Russians and subsequently re arsenaled. These means they were disassembled, cleaned ,repaired ,greased and packed away for future use, This led to some re- numbering and mismatching of parts.
